Welcome to OM Self-Drive. By accessing our website and booking our services (Cars, Bikes, Scooters, or Taxis for self-drive), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.
1. Eligibility Criteria
Age: For Bikes/Scooters, the rider must be at least 18 years old. For Cars/Taxis, the driver must be at least 21 years old (may vary by vehicle category).
Documentation: A valid Original Driving License (DL), Aadhaar Card/Passport, and a live selfie are required for verification.
License Type: The user must hold a valid license for the specific class of vehicle rented (e.g., a two-wheeler license for bikes). Learner’s licenses are not accepted.
2. Booking and Payments
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is required for every booking. This will be refunded within [X] business days after the vehicle is returned without damage.
Rental Period: The rental starts and ends at the time specified in the booking. Late returns will be charged at [Insert Rate, e.g., 1.5x hourly rate].
Fuel Policy: The vehicle must be returned with the same level of fuel as provided at the start of the trip. If returned with less, a refueling service fee plus the cost of fuel will apply.
3. Usage Policy
Self-Drive Only: The vehicle is for self-drive purposes only. Sub-letting or using the vehicle for commercial transportation of goods or passengers is strictly prohibited.
Prohibited Areas: Vehicles must not be driven into restricted areas, off-road terrains, or across international borders without prior written consent.
Speed Limits: Users must adhere to local speed limits. OM Self-Drive reserves the right to penalize users for repeated over-speeding (tracked via GPS).
4. Maintenance and Damage
Inspection: The user is responsible for inspecting the vehicle for existing dents or scratches before departure and reporting them to the OM Self-Drive team.
Accidents: In the event of an accident, the user must notify us immediately and file an FIR if required.
Liability: * The user is liable for the full cost of repairs for minor damages not covered by insurance.
For major accidents, the user is liable for the insurance "deductible" amount and any non-claimable repairs.
Tyres & Keys: Damage to tyres (bursts/punctures) and loss of vehicle keys are not covered by insurance and are the sole responsibility of the user.
5. Cleaning and Traffic Violations
Cleanliness: A cleaning fee will be charged if the vehicle is returned with an excessively dirty interior or foul smell (e.g., smoking inside the car).
Fines: All traffic fines, parking tickets, and toll charges incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the user.

7. Limitation of Liability
OM Self-Drive is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle or for any indirect damages resulting from mechanical failure during the rental period. While we maintain our fleet to high standards, mechanical issues can occur.
